Research project in human immunology. Candidate (m/f/div) with a Master or Doctor degree in immunology
Who we are
The research team led by Dr. Jun Dong in the Cell Biology Group at the Deutsches Rheuma-Forschungszentrum Berlin (DRFZ), investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the compartmentalization, maintenance and reactivation of human memory T lymphocytes. We use a wide variety of approaches (multicolor flow cytometry, next-generation sequencing, and in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro analyses of human samples) to address key questions in the survival requirements, epigenetic modifications, and TCR repertoire of human bone marrow and other tissue-resident memory T cells in comparison to their blood counterparts from the same individual, and how these impact their functions.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable candidate with a Master or Doctor degree in immunology. Experience in T cell immunology, cell culture, flow cytometry and/or cell sorting will be highly appreciated. The ideal candidate will perform and analyze experiments in S2 labs to dissect the functions of memory T cells under the direct supervision of Dr. Jun Dong. This position requires good communication and interpersonal skills, and fluent English.
The DRFZ is an equal opportunity employer, and strongly encourages applications from all members of under-represented groups. Individuals with disabilities will be given priority, if qualified accordingly.
