World Rheumatism Day on October 12 draws attention to the effects of rheumatic diseases: many patients suffer from pain, exhaustion and occupational limitations. Using patient-reported data, epidemiologists at the DRFZ highlight gaps in patient care and also the challenges affected persons face in everyday life and at work. Thanks to the help of those patients, the effects of the disease are better recognized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide has-text-align-left toc-item\" id=\"world-rheumatism-day-2025\">World Rheumatism Day 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide wp-block-paragraph\">This year, the Rheuma-Liga Berlin is hosting World Rheumatism Day on October 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sch\u00f6neberg Town Hall under the motto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide toc-item\" id=\"years-of-the-rheuma-liga-berlin-50-years-of-research-and-care\">50 years of the Rheuma-Liga Berlin \u2013 50 years of research and care.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide wp-block-paragraph\">\u201e<em><strong>Was ist erreicht \u2013 was ist noch zu tun? \u201c<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide wp-block-paragraph\">For five decades, the Rheuma-Liga Berlin has been committed to research, care, and the interests of people with rheumatic diseases. We would like to celebrate this anniversary with you: As part of the event, we will be awarding the Wolfgang Schulze Foundation&#8217;s Science Prize and Research Grant, followed by a discussion with representatives from politics and self-government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide wp-block-paragraph\">The program will be in German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preisverleihung der Stiftung Wolfgang Schulze:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em><strong>Preistr\u00e4ger Wissenschaftspreis:<\/strong><\/em><br>Prof. Dr. med.
