Avrion Mitchison Prize<\/h2>\n \n

In honor of its founding director Avrion Mitchison, the DRFZ annually awards the Avrion Mitchison Prize to young scientists. The award recognizes publications or dissertations that make a significant contribution to the understanding and treatment of rheumatic diseases.<\/p>\n

The Avrion Mitchison Prize is endowed with 3,000 euros. Since 2019, the prize has been sponsored by the DRFZ, previously it was funded by the Ernst Schering Foundation from 1999 to 2018.<\/p>\n

The award ceremony will take place in the fall as part of an event to mark World Rheumatism Day.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
