With his passing, the immunological research community not only lost an internationally influential scientist in this field, but also a respected colleague, mentor and friend. His deep understanding of immunological processes and his inspiring personality will remain unforgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide wp-block-paragraph\">Andreas Radbruch (DRFZ), Thomas Winkler (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg) and Klaus Rajewsky (Max Delbr\u00fcck Center for Molecular Medicine), together with Peter K.
