The DRFZ received the award on June 30, 2025. It recognizes the DRFZ for its outstanding, transparent and continuously developed communication in the field of animal research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative&#8217;s explanatory memorandum states:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The differentiated information material on animal experiments, together with the continuous expansion of the range with image material, demonstrate the commitment of the German Rheumatology Research Center to transparent scientific communication. In this way, the DRFZ actively contributes to clearing up misunderstandings and communicating the reality of animal research in an objective manner.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Theres Manthey, Animal Welfare Officer at the DRFZ, emphasizes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No progress without communication! Only through dialog can we keep our finger on the pulse and constantly raise our standards &#8211; which actively benefits animal welfare.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What characterizes us:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transparent handling of laboratory animal numbers and exposure levels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/en\/tierversuche\/belastungen-zahlen-statistik\/\">Numbers of experimental animals<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authentic insights into animal experimentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link based on scientific facts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this award, the DRFZ highlights its ongoing commitment to responsible research and open communication &#8211; as
