The team thus surpassed the previous year\u2019s result by 40 percent and set a new institute record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">A record was also set in the individual standings: With 2,223.7 kilometers, Peter Jani not only secured first place at the DRFZ but also became the overall champion among the Charit\u00e9 teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">On average, DRFZ participants covered 286.4 kilometers per person. With this strong team performance, the DRFZ achieved an outstanding 5th place among a total of 65 Charit\u00e9 teams. In addition, the distances cycled helped to save approximately 1,644 kilograms of CO\u2082.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">Colleagues celebrated this sporting success in the traditional way with non-alcoholic Radler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to everyone who participated and cycled for a better climate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>City Cycling \u2013 Cycling for the Climate<\/strong> is a Germany-wide competition focused on completing as many everyday trips as possible in a climate-friendly way by bicycle. The goal is for teams to accumulate kilometers and thereby reduce CO\u2082 emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons alignwide is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\"
