{"id":25062,"date":"2026-10-13T10:56:34","date_gmt":"2026-10-13T10:56:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/?p=25062"},"modified":"2026-10-13T11:04:55","modified_gmt":"2026-10-13T11:04:55","slug":"world-arthritis-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/en\/neuigkeiten\/world-arthritis-day\/","title":{"rendered":"World Arthritis Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide toc-item\" id=\"medicine-of-the-future-researching-rheumatism-shaping-health\">Medicine of the Future \u2013 Researching Rheumatism \u2013 Shaping Health<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">On October 12, 2026, the Rheuma-Liga Berlin and the German Rheumatology Research Center (DRFZ) hosted a joint event to celebrate World Arthritis Day under the motto \u201cMedicine of the Future: Researching Rheumatism\u2014Shaping Health.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">Together with around 70 guests, the award recipients, laudators, and organizers put together a lively program. The opportunity for personal exchange between those affected by rheumatic diseases and researchers made the event a special place for interacting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">We are very pleased that Dr. Ina Czyborra, Senator for Science, Health, and Care of the State of Berlin, and Prof. Dr. med. J\u00fcrgen Braun, President of the German Rheumatism League Berlin e. V., attended the event, thereby expressing their support for rheumatology research and the concerns of those affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide wp-block-paragraph\">During the afternoon, the DRFZ\u2019s Avrion-Mitchison Prize and the awards from the Wolfgang Schulze Foundation were handed out.
