{"id":8458,"date":"2024-05-29T13:56:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T13:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/news\/diversity-day-am-drfz\/"},"modified":"2025-02-06T14:01:59","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T14:01:59","slug":"diversity-day-am-drfz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/en\/neuigkeiten\/diversity-day-am-drfz\/","title":{"rendered":"Diversity Day at the DRFZ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the spirit of UNESCO\u2019s \u201cWorld Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development\u201d, we celebrated our diversity at the DRFZ on May 23, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our institute is actually already quite diverse: almost 30% of our employees come from abroad, from a total of 37 nations worldwide. People of different cultures and religions feel welcome at the DRFZ.&nbsp; We have a female Administrative Director, 36% of our group leaders are female, 54% of our postdocs, 59% of our doctoral students, 64% of our students and 79% of our assistants.&nbsp; All of these are good reasons to delve deeper into the topic of diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We learned a lot about diversity, privilege and inclusion from our speaker, Zarahlena F. Yrizar.
