{"id":15170,"date":"2025-03-19T07:23:37","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T07:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/?post_type=project&#038;p=15170"},"modified":"2025-03-31T12:43:23","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T12:43:23","slug":"linkmedr-integrating-cancer-registry-data-with-other-medical-registries","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.drfz.de\/en\/forschungsprojekte\/linkmedr-integrating-cancer-registry-data-with-other-medical-registries\/","title":{"rendered":"LinKMedR \u2013 Integrating Cancer Registry Data with Other Medical Registries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left toc-item\" id=\"project-objectives\"><strong>Project Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess the feasibility of data matching under the specific regulatory framework in Germany, including a comprehensive legal analysis of data protection in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for research purposes.<br><br>Clinical Research Questions:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>RABBIT Registry: Investigating the cancer risk in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients undergoing treatment with various anti-rheumatic medications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MS Registry: Analyzing the incidence of cancer and the impact of therapy on cancer development in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading toc-item\" id=\"significance-of-the-project\"><strong>Significance of the Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ability to link data from medical registries with other data sources, such as cancer registry data, is a highly relevant and timely issue, whether in the context of upcoming registry legislation or within the scope of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). Enhancing existing data sources through integration and leveraging them to address clinical research questions is vital.
