DRFZ receives Total E-Quality Award for 2025-2028

Recognition for Commitment to Gender Equality and Diversity
At DRFZ, equal opportunity is more than just a principle – it’s a part of everyday life. On July 8, 2025, the DRFZ was awarded the Total E-Quality distinction for the fourth time, for another three years. This recognition by the Total E-Quality association highlights our ongoing commitment to gender equality, diversity, and family-friendly working conditions in research.
Dr. Laleh Khodadadi, Equal Opportunities Officer at DRFZ:
At first glance, it might seem like just another certificate – but it’s not. It represents our collective commitment, our sense of solidarity, and our resilience.
What sets us apart:
- Consistent use of gender-inclusive language across our website and communications
- Women scientists represent over 50% at nearly all levels of the institute
- Inclusion of all genders in clinical studies and use of sex-specific data in health services research
- Family-friendly initiatives such as online seminars and consideration of school holiday periods
Looking ahead:
These and other initiatives are firmly embedded in the updated 2025 Gender Equality Plan. The plan lays the foundation for a fair, supportive, and forward-looking work environment for all DRFZ employees.
