Eicke Latz is a new BBAW member

Prof. Dr. Eicke Latz, Scientific Director of the German Rheumatology Research Center, a Leibniz-Institute, has been welcomed as a full member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW).

The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities is an interdisciplinary and interregional association of outstanding scientists. The universal scholar Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz founded today’s BBAW as the Prussian Academy of Sciences 325 years ago. Its history has been shaped by 82 Nobel Prize winners. Today, the BBAW has around 400 members.  The BBAW promotes the sciences, advises society and politics, strengthens the dialog between science and the public and supports cooperation between non-university research institutions and universities in Berlin and Brandenburg.
