Long Night of Sciences 2025

Enthusiasm for science late into the night
Our colleagues from the DRFZ, together with the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, delighted 1686 guests with the fascinating world of research until late into the Long Night of Science on June 28, 2025. With great curiosity and fun, visitors determined their blood group, microscoped or practiced pipetting. Our laboratory tours were fully booked.
Many young visitors took the opportunity to find out about career paths in science during the panel discussion and to talk to experienced scientists. The Science Slam was once again a special highlight this year – this time with seven young researchers presenting their exciting projects in an entertaining way.
The clinicians from Immanuel-Krankenhaus Berlin, Park-Klinik Weißensee and the Medical Clinic for Rheumatology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin were once again at the event to provide nutritional and health advice. Many guests took the opportunity to have their joints examined by ultrasound or to take a look at their finger capillaries.
As every year, the Rheuma-Liga Berlin e.V. and the Morbus Bechterew e.V. provided our grateful guests with valuable information. The Rheuma-Liga Berlin e.V. and the Morbus Bechterew e.V. were also on hand with valuable information. Interactive offers such as the “rheumatism glove” or balance training on balance boards were again particularly popular.
The German Society for Immunology playfully informed young and old about how our immune system works, what happens during vaccination and why plasma cells are so important for immunological memory.
We would like to thank all the employees, clinicians and patient representatives who together made the LNDW 2025 a very special event for our guests and for ourselves.
We are already looking forward to the next Long Night of Science on 06.06.2026!
