Award for excellent communication of animal research
DRFZ once again receives quality label from “Understanding Animal Experiments”
The German Rheumatology Research Center Berlin (DRFZ), a Leibniz Institute, was once again honored with the quality label of the information initiative “Understanding Animal Experiments”. The DRFZ received the award on June 30, 2025. It recognizes the DRFZ for its outstanding, transparent and continuously developed communication in the field of animal research.
The initiative’s explanatory memorandum states:
The differentiated information material on animal experiments, together with the continuous expansion of the range with image material, demonstrate the commitment of the German Rheumatology Research Center to transparent scientific communication. In this way, the DRFZ actively contributes to clearing up misunderstandings and communicating the reality of animal research in an objective manner.
Dr. Theres Manthey, Animal Welfare Officer at the DRFZ, emphasizes:
