Dr Yvette Meißner appointed to the Lancet Rheumatology Commission on Reproductive Health
Epidemiologist from the DRFZ is a member of the Commission on family planning in immune-mediated long-term conditions
Dr Yvette Meißner from the Pharmacoepidemiology Research Group at the DRFZ has been appointed as a member of the newly established “The Lancet Rheumatology Commission on Reproductive Health and Family Planning in Immune-Mediated Long-Term Conditions”.
The international Commission focuses on topics such as fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding, taking into account all stages of life for people with inflammatory rheumatic or other immune-mediated chronic diseases. Over the next five years, it aims to identify gaps in in healthcare, develop practical recommendations and help to better translate scientific findings into clinical practice.
Lancet Commission
A Lancet Commission is an international panel of experts initiated by the medical journal The Lancet. They are regarded as key drivers for the further development of healthcare, as they collate scientific evidence and develop recommendations for research, clinical practice and health policy.
