Einstein Circle: “Spatial Biology in Cancer: Focus on Inflammation and Endothelial Cells in Bone Marrow”

Prof. Dr. Anja Hauser and Prof. Dr. Raluca Niesner are part of the Einstein Circle “Spatial Biology in Cancer: Focus on Inflammation and Endothelial Cells in Bone Marrow”. The network, led by Professor Dr. Il-Kang Na, Department of Medicine with a focus on haematology, oncology and tumor immunology at Charité, brings together leading Berlin research institutions with international experts. The aim of the circle is to initiate new research projects, exchange current findings and further develop innovative therapeutic approaches in cancer and inflammation medicine.
The focus of the collaboration is on initiating new research projects, exchanging scientific findings and developing approaches for innovative therapies in oncology and inflammation research. The goal is to understand and specifically influence disease mechanisms directly in the tissue.

Anja Hauser and Raluca Niesner contribute their expertise to advance research into the spatial organization of tissues in a healthy condition and during inflammatory processes. Their close relations with European research partners such as the European Society for Spatial Biology (ESSB) strengthen the international orientation of the circle and open up a wide range of opportunities for cooperation.
