An Afterwork Sporting Event: DRFZ at the 5 × 5 km TEAM Relay

Together at the Starting Line in the Tiergarten

With six relay teams, the DRFZ was once again represented at the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 × 5 km TEAM Relay on June 3, 2026. A total of 30 colleagues took to the starting line and each completed a 5-kilometer lap through Berlin’s Tiergarten. A thrilling moment for every relay team was the handoff of the baton in the famous transition zone.

Among more than 2,000 participating relay teams, the DRFZ was right in the middle and delivered a strong performance with great dedication. Team #5 was especially successful, finishing in 657th place with a time of 2:17 hours, and Team #1 crossed the finish line in 745th place after 2:18 hours.

For everyone involved, the team relay was a fun after-work sporting event full of team spirit and running enjoyment!
