Avrion Mitchison Prize 2019
The DRFZ awards 3,000 Euro to the best original research relevant for understanding and treating rheumatic diseases.
In honor of its Founding Director, Avrion Mitchison, the Deutsches Rheuma-Forschungszentrum Berlin (DRFZ), a Leibniz Institute, annually awards the Avrion Mitchison Prize to young scientists contributing significantly to rheumatology.
Avrion Mitchison discovered cooperation of T and B lymphocytes as the basis of adaptive immunity and chronic inflammation. From 1989 until 1996, he was the scientific director of the DRFZ.
The award ceremony will take place at the DRFZ on December 3, 2019
Eligibility and how to apply

- paper (or thesis) published or accepted for publication in the last 18 months
