Christopher Skopnik

Christopher Skopnik is a native of Berlin who studied Biotechnology at the Technical University starting in 2011. In 2015 he began working at the DRFZ when he joined Hiromi Kubagawa’s group as a master’s student. Two years later he continued his scientific career as a Ph.D. student in Philipp Enghard’s group at the Charité. During this period Christopher focused on nephrology, immunology, advanced data analysis, and computational biology. His research culminated in a first‑author paper published in Science Translational Medicine on T cells in lupus nephritis in 2026.
